eBook Description: Mexico, India, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, are just a few of the places where the December issue finds charming thieves, wily con artists, and murderous moneymen. The Chevalier Remy descends into the depths of the seventeenth century Parisian underworld in R. T. Lawton's "Boudin Noir." A slave called Colm in ancient Iceland proves to be calm and quick thinking in the midst of murderous passions in Mike Culpepper's "The Trollfarm Killing." In Iain Rowain's eerie story "Nowhere To Go," a homebound man in England uses the Net to tap into Web cams around the world. In "A Sorcerer's Fate," Susan Oleksiw brings us another tale featuring photographer Anita Ray, who is staying with relatives in India. John C. Boland's P.I. Meggie Trevor travels to Mexico on a case in "Out of Her Depth," and the Yeats-loving Mr. O'Nelligan helps P.I. Lee Plunkett suss out an art thief in Scarsdale, New York, in "O'Nelligan and the Perfect Man" by Michael Nethercott. Finally, the mansions might be empty and cavernous in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, but their absent owners still haunt the valley in Terence Faherty's "The Caretaker."

This month's mystery classic is the first English publication of a tale by Ecuadorian writer Pablo Palacio; "The Man Who Was Kicked to Death" was chosen and translated by Kenneth Wishnia.

Lock the doors and settle in for a little felonious armchair travel.
